2019 Kia Rio Engine Performance & MPG
The Rio comes equipped with a 1.6L inline 4-cylinder engine under the hood that’s mated to the 6-Speed Automatic Transmission with Sportmatic®. The engine can produce up to 130 horsepower and 119 lb-ft of torque. The equipped Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) aids the Kia vehicle with its performance and fuel efficiency. It pumps fuel directly into the combustion chamber based on the Kia vehicle’s performance, helping it achieve its EPA-estimated 28 city/37 highway MPG.*
In-Cabin Entertainment & Technology
The interior of the Kia Rio includes the 5-inch touchscreen display that’s mounted into the dashboard and gives drivers direct access to the assortment of media options. The Kia vehicle offers an AM/FM radio, SiriusXM® Radio, USB and auxiliary inputs for portable devices, and Bluetooth®. The Bluetooth® not only lets you conduct hands-free calls from the road, but you can also use it to stream audio entertainment from your phone’s media or apps through the 4-speaker sound system mounted into the cabin.
Comfort & Convenience
The Kia Rio was designed to accommodate you and four other passengers in the cabin that spans 89.9 cubic feet. The seats are equipped with Tricot & Woven trim, adding a unique style and comfort to the cabin. The steering-wheel-mounted audio and Bluetooth® controls make it easier to skip tracks, turn up the volume, and answer a call while driving. The Day/Night Rearview Mirror includes two modes, the latter of which can help reduce rear headlight glare during your night time driving.
This sedan includes the advanced airbag system that’s designed to provide the necessary inflation pressure to the airbags based on the severity of the collision. It includes dual front airbags, dual front seat-mounted side airbags, and full-length side curtain airbags for all outboard passengers.
The Kia Rio also includes several braking systems designed to assist you in an emergency situation. The Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD) varies the brake pressure applied to the front and rear wheels to give you better control. The Electronic Stability Control (ESC) detects instances of wheel slip and applies brake pressure to the affected wheel to ensure the wheel regains stability and traction.
