2019 Kia Sportage LX
The LX is the base Sportage trim. The vehicle includes a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that’s mated to an Electronically Controlled 6-Speed Automatic Overdrive with Sportmatic® transmission. The engine is able to produce 181 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque.
The interior includes woven cloth seats with the option of upgrading to Tricot Cloth Seats with YES Essentials® Fabric Treatment to help repel stains. The cabin includes the 5-inch touchscreen that provides access to the AM/FM radio, MP3 player, or the 3-month trial of SiriusXM® Satellite Radio. This trim also includes Bluetooth® which allows for hands-free phone calling and audio streaming.
Sportage EX Trim
The EX trim includes the same engine with the 181 horsepower capabilities. The biggest departure from this trim and the base lies within the cabin, as it comes outfitted with leather trim seats that include the 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with 2-way power lumbar support. The dashboard includes the UVO 7-inch touchscreen display which offers in-car connectivity. The EX also adds Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ to the interior features for better smartphone connectivity.
Another major addition to this Sportage trim level upgrade is the inclusion of driver-assistive technology features. These features include:
- Blind Spot Detection
- Lane Change Assist
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert
Sportage SX Turbo
The Sportage SX Turbo is the last trim level for the Kia Sportage. This trim introduces a new engine: the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, which comes paired with the same 6-speed automatic. This engine is capable of delivering an impressive 240 horsepower and 237 lb-ft of torque.
The seating of the SX Turbo includes leather trim with both the 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat and the 8-way power adjustable front passenger’s seat.
As for the entertainment features, the SX Turbo includes a lot of the same features as the previous trim, as well as additional features like:
- UVO 8-inch touchscreen with Voice Command Navigation, SiriusXM® Traffic, and HD Radio™
- Harman Kardon® Premium Surround Sound with Clari-Fi™ and eight speakers
- Parking Assist with Front and Rear Sensors
- Autonomous Emergency Braking
