2020 Soul Engine Specs & Options
The 2020 Kia Soul will include a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine as its base-level option. This engine is capable of producing 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with the LX base trim, however, drivers have the option of including the new Intelligent variable automatic transmission, which is set to improve the overall performance, efficiency, and noise of the Kia vehicle.
If drivers are seeking the most power with their crossover, opting for the GT-Line Turbo trim may be the right move. This trim includes a 1.6L 4-cylinder turbo engine that can produce 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. The engine comes mated with the sporty 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Interior Features & Technology
The 2020 Soul includes a 7-inch touchscreen display that’s mounted into the dashboard to give drivers quick access to their assortment of media options. Choosing the EX or GT-Line Turbo trims will include the UVO link with a 10.25-inch color touchscreen that comes with premium navigation, three months of SiriusXM®, and HD Radio™.
At the base level, the 2020 Kia Soul includes Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™, which are used to integrate your smartphone into the Kia vehicle’s touchscreen. The Kia vehicle also includes Bluetooth® streaming, auxiliary and USB connectivity for portable devices, and an AM/FM radio—all of which play through the 6-speaker sound system.
Drivers who choose the S 2020 Soul trim or higher will have an assortment of driver-assistance features on which to rely. These features work with exterior radar sensors that can measure the speed of the Kia vehicle and its distance from the object or other car ahead. It then sends the data back in the form of warnings or braking assistance to help drivers avoid, or reduce the severity of, a collision. These features include the Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS), Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), Driver Attention Warning, Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Smart Cruise Control (SCC), and more!
